Our Atticus
is a handsome, happy boy. When our intake volunteer first saw him, she said:
"Of all the dogs in the shelter, Atticus caught my attention. I kept going
back to him. I couldn't walk away from him!"
Since becoming a "DAWG dog," Atticus has charmed us all. He is quite smart.
In addition to knowing basic commands, Atticus quickly learned to "roll
over" and "shake." Atticus is eager to please, so much so that he will go
through his whole repertoire of commands and tricks for a single treat!
Atticus walks well on a leash; he likes to be out front at the end of the
leash, but he doesn't pull. Atticus is a playful fellow and likes to fetch
dog toys. Atticus is interested in the other dogs too, and has started to
initiate play and adjust his play style to fit the size of the dog.
Atticus is friendly with all people and has already bonded with his show
handler, but he is will eagerly bond with a loving family of his own. Ask if
Atticus will be at an upcoming adoption show. We think you'll be swept off
your feet too! To see Atticus on
