Why did we call this handsome fellow "Beacon?" We wanted him to have a strong, affirmative name to counteract his background. Sadly, Beacon was left in front of a store, locked in a crate, where Animal Control picked him up and took him to the shelter. If that's how Beacon's prior people decided to get rid of him, you can imagine what his life with them was like. He wasn't abused, just misunderstood and probably neglected in regard to the normal needs of a young dog.

Luckily, Beacon is a quick study and is learning all the things he should have learned already: crate-training, housebreaking, etc., and especially that people can be kind and caring. Beacon is social and loves to romp with other dogs. He is a perky little guy and is receptive to what he is shown by his human friends.

If you'd like to continue with Beacon's initiation to life as it should be, please be sure to ask when he will be at a future show!

For more information on Beacon, or any of the other wonderful DAWG dogs, please submit an online application. There is no obligation. Once your application is received, a DAWG volunteer will contact you.
