Copper's
gorgeous coloring is what you first notice at an adoption show,
especially because Copper's shyness prevents him from making
instant eye contact at first. However, if you wait for a minute
or two and say sweet nothings to him, he will look up at you and
seem to ask, "Are you here for me?" It's sad that dogs who have
experienced so many traumatic changes in their lives retreat a
bit because they don't know what to think, who to respond to, or
what to do in new circumstances. However, Copper does come out
of his shell when he
plays with his pal, Spunky. That's a side of Copper that can't
be missed! So Copper is a typical, wonderful beagle boy who just
keeps to himself until he's sure about things. Who could blame
him for being cautious? If you know that a connection with a dog
can take time but the bonding will be deep and forever, please
ask about Copper!
