Daisy was a scared puppy at the shelter. She was going to be put down, but we stepped in. Daisy's first picture on the DAWG website was of a cowering yellow lab pup seemingly stuck to the wall as if it would protect her. Daisy probably had been purchased as a cute puppy, then eventually ignored and probably left outside or in a crate without a lot of positive interaction, let alone socialization. It was clear Daisy had never been loved.

Fast forward...Daisy was fostered and eventually adopted with another DAWG dog (an older dog who had considered Daisy his "daughter") by a couple who made great strides with her. Then they had a baby, and Daisy wasn't too sure about the new little human. So Daisy came back to DAWG, so much better than she started and ready to start anew.

Daisy is very affectionate but not trusting at first. It took a while for her to greet her new foster mom, mostly because she was scared to be in a new home, and also because she was so distracted by her new dog friends. She definitely loves dogs and romps with dogs of any size. You can almost hear her tell them, "Come on -- let's play!"

When Daisy comes to her foster mom, she looks like she will break in two wiggling, and then starts swirling around her legs!  It's Daisy's special way of saying hi. Daisy can grin like she's keeping a big secret, and she gives you little licks in such a feminine way!

One thing about Daisy that's a bit unusual is that her bark sounds like high-pitched bubbles. No deep, throaty barks from this girly girl. Daisy is truly a girl dog who should wear pink!

Daisy is a sweet, good girl who has been very lucky so far. So if you're feeling lucky and want to know more about Daisy, be sure to inquire soon!
