As of late September, 2010, Faith is ready to go home! Faith is exceptionally focused and loves humans despite her past. In addition, Faith quietly studies how other dogs interact and play, clearly absorbing the joy of being a dog. So don't wait to meet her. Inquire about Faith if you have questions, or simply submit an application for this incredible dog!

Faith must have dragged herself into a yard to die, or perhaps in a last ditch effort to save herself, if only a human would notice. A man did see her limp body in his yard and called Animal Control, which took her to the shelter where she would have been put to sleep. But the waste of her life was beyond the volunteer who handles intake for DAWG. The look in Faith's sad eyes was still hopeful, still trusting...and that was enough.

So Faith was bundled up and taken to DAWG's animal hospital where she was taken in as an emergency. All of 29 pounds upon arrival, Faith's fur was scraggly and patchy, showing great amounts of inflamed skin; she is in treatment for ringworm and scabies. Of course, because she was weak and a virtual skeleton upon arrival, Faith needs to get well in general and gain weight. So far, Faith has made great progress and is all of 41 pounds now!

Please follow Faith's web page for updates on her. And if you would like to help with Faith's medical care, please send a donation check to Best Dawg Rescue, PO Box 34213, Bethesda, MD 20827, or send a credit card donation via www.networkforgood.org. Thank you.

Faith's up to 50 pounds now, is learning to sit/shake, and otherwise knows how to "look pretty" for the camera!

Faith's skin is healing, but you can still see some "pink areas" where fur needs to grow.
