(Then)

(Now)

Sweet, soulful Flash has had quite a life so far. He was neglected by his first family, and then ceremoniously dumped at the shelter by them. He was extremely skinny and uncoordinated. We noticed his "back end" didn't seem properly formed. Flash would feel threatened by anything new. His solution was to put his head in the corner. Flash was a mess.

Several months later, Flash is a far different dog. He has put on the right amount of weight and is no longer fearful of new things. Although he can still get confused, he is no longer reactive and settles nicely. His devoted volunteer friends took him to swimming to build up his muscle tone, and introduced a normal, loving world to him. When people meet Flash, they stop in their tracks, then want to hug  him. Flash has turned into an incredible dog ready to find his home.

Flash is housebroken, doesn't bark, likes walks, and is very friendly. He is good with dogs and doesn't mind cats.  Above all, Flash really just wants to be with his person. He likes to do "dog things," like hanging around the kitchen and snoozing at your feet when you're reading the paper. When he knows you, he simply puts his head in your lap and sighs with affection. What can be better than that?

Flash's time to be adopted has come, so we hope that someone will notice Flash and say, "This is the dog for me." If you think Flash is for you, we look forward to hearing from you soon!
