We think that Greeley was bought as a "trophy dog" and then left in a yard, where he was alone, without interaction with dogs or even people except on a minimal basis. Lucky for him that he got away from that so-called home and is catching up with normal life.

When you meet Greeley, he looks at you with full attention, studying you without any expectations. But once he knows you, he will give you a kiss! Not bad for a dog who had no reason to care about people when he arrived as a DAWG dog.

While Greeley seems fine with many dogs, high-energy playing with an adopter's dog over-stimulated Greeley, and so he was returned. Greeley probably can't "handle" a normal home's environment including the commotion caused by kids (including teens).

What Greeley needs is a quiet home where his person will take things slowly with him. We know someone "out there" will be fascinated with Greeley and will work with Greeley at his tempo. If you are that special someone, please inquire about our gorgeous Greeley. Greeley is available to be seen by private appointment after receiving an application that is preliminarily considered a "match" for him.

For more information on Greeley, or any of the other wonderful DAWG dogs, please submit an online application. There is no obligation. Once your application is received, a DAWG volunteer will contact you.
