Why would such a special dog end up in a shelter? We don't
know if Hal wandered away from his home
or if he was deliberately set loose. Staff at the shelter frantically
contacted rescue groups to take this great dog. We said we would take him
without meeting him based on their glowing recommendations. They were right!
Hal is gorgeous, mellow, sweet, and very mindful! Hal also is rather small
for his breed mix (about knee high). There's something about Hal's
personality that "grabs" you right away. It's like you are longtime
friends...but you just met!
How sad for Hal to have been through all the confusion he has experienced.
Hal is very sensitive, and you can tell he thinks about things. Now that Hal
is in a foster home, he is so much happier! He has a jaunty step, especially
when he seems to have a great idea about something to do. But Hal is never
far from his foster mom, whether at her feet when she's on the computer, or
just checking on her every so often. If you are looking for a PAL, you need
to meet HAL!
