Poor little
Hazel was a stray and ended up at the
shelter in the summer, one of the worst times of year to be there. It's a
miracle that dogs survive being lost and hungry, only to end up at a shelter
where they have only a few days to be found and claimed.
We don't know if Hazel's owners couldn't find her or simply let her out the
door. We would like to think she somehow escaped or was separated from
loving owners, because Hazel has a great personality and falls over with
wiggles when she sees you. Someone treated her kindly, and for sure she is a
happy, well-adjusted teenager.
When Hazel's stray time at the shelter was up, and we had a choice...or
rather no choice, as we weren't going to let Hazel's life end as if she
never existed. So if you're seeking a very loving pup, full of potential and
joy, you're going to fall in love with Hazel!
