Maximus had a home until his owner decided she couldn't keep him because of pending surgery. Poor Maximus! His world has been turned upside-down. You can tell Maximus (his real name) had some training as he sits and gives his paw. He also is a great "car dog." But what you notice the most about Maximus is that he seems to smile all the time.

Maximus can be, well, "enthusiastic" when he meets you, but he settles very well. Maximus seems to be a dog who would mix well with kids and probably other dogs too. Maximus is a big dog but he is less boisterous than many of our smaller dogs. Maximus is just a well-adjusted, gorgeous guy!
