This wonderful boy was left in a "drop box" at a local shelter (where people who are dumping their dogs or people who find dogs often leave them if a shelter is closed). Mickey was filthy and horribly matted, so the shelter gave him a hair cut to clean him up. (His fur has grown in a bit, so he is now more "fluffy" than the picture depicts.) Then someone submitted paperwork to adopt Mickey at the shelter, but the adopter never arrived to pick him up! Poor Mickey.

We can't say enough about how great Mickey is. He's good with dogs, submissive to people (although originally shy) and a really nice dog ready to start anew. We are hoping that Mickey's new family will include a playful dog, as Mickey can't get enough of romping and charging around with his foster dog buddies!
