Poor Razz! He was owned by someone for about 2 years, then was given away, and then that person turned him into the shelter after a couple of months. Why did the second person give him up? Because he said he couldn't afford Razz. Obviously neither the first or second owner did much of anything for Razz, as he tested positive for heartworms. That would have been the end of him at the shelter, but Razz's sweet ways and plight as heartworm positive made us decide to take him.

Heartworm treatment will start mid-December, after which Razz can be adopted to someone who won't let him run around for about a month. (Note that DAWG will "cover" the cost of heartworm treatment.)

Razz is a handsome, totally wonderful dog who apparently got along with farm animals (!?), so he should be fine with other dogs and presumably cats.

If you are interested in Razz, please submit an application through this web site for a private appointment to meet Razz. Otherwise, we can't wait to debut him at a future adoption show!

For more information on Razz, or any of the other wonderful DAWG dogs, please submit an online application. There is no obligation. Once your application is received, a DAWG volunteer will contact you.
