Sampson is one big bundle of love! He can't get enough of it. These days, he's feeling much safer than he felt in the middle of a highway where a DAWG volunteer caught him.  Sampson's a grown-up puppy -- silly, loving, playful and goofy. Who wouldn't love Sampson, especially when he flips over for a belly rub. That's a sight to see! Sampson loves other dogs and has an "everybody loves me" attitude.

Sampson is very protective by nature and does not always react well to strangers and new situations. Sampson needs an experienced adopter who is willing to work with him on these issues. Because of Sampson's protectiveness, he is not be appropriate for a home with small children and in a home that has frequent visitors.

Once Sampson trusts you, he is WONDERFUL. He is devoted to those he loves. Sampson follows his foster Mom around from room to room. He seems to look up to her asking, "what should I do now?" All Sampson wants to do is make his person happy and be loved in return.
