Sweetie was lucky to be lost in one of our volunteer's neighborhoods. Our volunteer spotted her, took her home, and bathed her because she was filthy. Animal Control eventually took her in, and the search was on to find Sweetie's owner. When that failed, we knew we had to get Sweetie out of the shelter. Our reward? Kisses and a look of deep gratitude. (Of course dogs -- especially rescued dogs -- are grateful!
