Tally was returned to the shelter by an adopter who apparently knew something was wrong with her but did not take her to the vet. We were horrified when we learned Tally was bleeding and rushed her out of the shelter for emergency bladder stone surgery! We think Tally’s neglectful owner restricted water or didn’t take Tally outside regularly to relieve herself, resulting in a painful and untreated bladder infection, which led to bladder stones.
Tally is back to normal now and is ready for adoption. We have yet to determine how Tally would be with another dog, cat or children, but we think she may do better as an only pet, just because she deserves all the attention and doesn’t seem to want companionship from another dog.
Please note that we will require a fenced yard if applicants are in a home.
For more information on Tally, or any of the other wonderful DAWG dogs, please submit an online application. There is no obligation. Once your application is received, a DAWG volunteer will contact you.
